Episode 6: Kawkawlin Creek Flooding
In this episode of River Runners, we head to the Kawkawlin Creek Flooding State Wildlife Management Area for a sun-soaked day of fishing, critter-catching, and classic outdoor chaos. No kayaks—just land-based adventure with rods in hand and eyes peeled for anything that moves. The heat was intense, the sun was blazing, and it was the perfect kind of summer day to be outside getting messy. We caught a few feisty fish, but the real surprises came in the form of the locals slithering through the dry grasses—and yes, we caught one. Oh, and a frog decided to crash the party too (spoiler: it did not go quietly). From slippery catches to sudden jumps, we were laughing, learning, and loving every minute. The Kawkawlin Creek Flooding showed off its wild side, and we were all in. If you’re into fishing, catching, or just soaking up the outdoors, this one’s for you. Let’s get into it!
