Under the African Sun
Under the African Sun follows “Brother Bill” Evans and Leonard Maronda as they bring clean water to villages in Zimbabwe. As droughts intensify and the Zambezi River struggles to sustain 32 million people, access to safe water has become a daily crisis. In response, Evans and Maronda began drilling and repairing borehole wells, providing more than 44,000 gallons of fresh water each day, free of charge, to thousands of people. By highlighting their work, the film demonstrates that conservation is not just about protecting rivers and ecosystems, but also about safeguarding human health, dignity, and resilience. Under the African Sun inspires us to see that when communities come together to restore access to water, they create ripples of hope that reach far beyond a single river, proving that compassion and action can change lives.
